Preventive Health Care

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”. This is as true today as it was then, and arguably more so in our hustling modern society.

Holistic healing is an approach to dis-ease resulting of imbalance in physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social and environmental factors. Nutrition, hydration, physical activity and exercise, stretching, breathing and meditation are well known practices of self-mastery and preventive measures.

Health professionals devote energy, time, passion and intuitive gifts of talent into practicing many tried and true healing arts in order to guide educate and treat the general public with skill. However, health professionals can only assist and facilitate our healing journeys; in essence we are responsible for our own personal healing processes from the core.

Much of our health is challenged by our nature and environment. All of what we eat, drink, breathe and put on our skin daily contributes to overall health. Toxicity of chemicals, heavy metals & petroleum products, and deficiencies of vital nutrients are common elements of dis-ease. Detoxifying cleansing methods ensure optimal functioning of organ systems. Mind set, attitude and coping mechanisms to stressors in life are crucial to well-being, as our physical bodies store this energetic information. Negativity or positivity however subtle is relayed to those around us and affects their well-being too.

Easter celebrates the return of spring, of life and re-birth when nature provides opportunity to grow. Life is a cycle, a process, and today is a new day! Be proactive with your health for long-term wellness.
